Dr. Alex McCubbin BDS

Specialist in Cosmetic Dentistry and Implantology

Since graduating from The University of Glasgow, Dr. McCubbin spent five years working for the Royal Air Force in South Wales, in the Home Counties and in the Shetland Islands, where being cut off from specialist services encouraged him to develope his skills in all areas of dentistry.

Looking for new experiences and some freedom from the NHS, Alex moved to Germany where he worked in Offenbach and then set up his own practice in Bavaria. The self-reliance he learnt in the Shetlands lead him to study fixed-band Orthodontics at the Bavarian Academy for Dentistry, as well as Laser Dentistry and Implant Dentistry.

Over the next 18 years, Alex felt that the increasing complexities of the German insurance system were limiting his professional development and decided to make a change by moving to Spain.

After working in an international practice in Jávea, Alex took the opportuntity to open his own practice in Marbella, the British Dental Centre, which has been offering dental excellence to the ex-pat community on the Costa del Sol since 2005
